Defence
The Gers fell to the Dreadnots but it wasn’t Darrin Kearney fault as the keeper kept a clean sheet. Louth minor captain Brendan Matthews has a ton of potential, showed it on Sunday. Former Louth full back Mick Fanning did a little extra than his defensive duties to score a point. James Caraher from Mattock rampaged forward from corner back to devastating effect.
Ian Corbally shone for the Seans from wingback in their big win.
Derek Crilly showed the county what we are missing in their draw. Cloghers
defence was the difference and Cian McEvoy was chief organiser.
Midfield
County men Paddy Reilly and Peach were highly influential for both their clubs good performances the weekend.
Forwards
Left footed Glyde midfielder Ciaran Sheridan gets pushed up into the forwards. Ben McLaughlin continues to impress for the O’Mahoys. The Jocks impressive performance was spearheaded by two talented youngsters Conor Whelan and Sam Mulroy. Roche junior tilt is safe in Barry O’Hare’s hands. The Joes did get over the line thanks to Craig Doherty.
