Sligo Background

Sligo are pointless, but they are going to be a serious challenge at home tomorrow.

So far they’ve been defeated by Limerick, Fermanagh and Clare.

The limerick defeat on the opening day is a bit of a misnomer as their whole panel was affected by a vomiting bug.

They then ran Fermanagh close and ran out of steam against Clare having led at half time.

So despite being pointless they are not a bad side whatsoever.

Us
We’ll look to the dynamic U21 duo inside to get us the win along with some massive work rate from the first 15.

Will Kelly find that golden nugget again from the bench?

He’s struck gold in recent games in terms of scoring impact and It will be needed more than ever tomorrow.

Verdict:
This away game is a nice test of how far we’ve come since our last away game in Fermanagh.

The pressure is all on Sligo and we have a lot of confidence going into this one.

That’ll be the difference.

We’ll do it.

Interesting fact: Eamon O’Hara used 35 bottles of fake tan in total during the 2008 Connacht championship.
